Recession Whine

Struggling vintners and liquor store owners in New York have come out with this modestly priced wine ($4.99) to try to combat the recession. I'm not sure what the mascot is, but he has an appropriate 1930s air to him, with a megaphone and what looks like an Uncle Moneybags frock coat.

Next up: Recession Cheese.

  • Next up: Recession Cheese.

    A cultural reference?:

    "soup lines,
    free loaves of bread,
    five pound blocks of cheese,
    bags of groceries,
    Social Security,
has run out on you and me.
    We do whatever we can,
Gotta duck when the sh*t hits the fan..."

  • If you find recession cheese let me know.

Here in WI, America's Dairyland (I don't care what California says...) cheese is very expensive......

The government cheese blocks are amazing....I have had some of that....but it's like the Velveeta/pasteurized cheese....which ain't cheese, if you ask me.

Who knows what it'll be like if the economy doesn't turn around.....

Where is Victoria? Kinda quiet for a couple days.....

  • Here in California, where the Democrats run the show, we have perfected the art of the recession wine.

And the oddest thing of all... it's not that bad. Who says a recession has to be aesthetically depressing?
