The scene is being set at Washington University in St. Louis, Missouri for the Vice-Presidential debate.
You'll remember that it was Missouri which played host for Winston Churchill's famous "Iron Curtain" speech, so they know a thing or two about momentous political occasions.

Just as I have lowered my expectations beyond belief (there will be no gaffes, there will be no major embarrassments), I hope you don't have yours too high. Just go in watching calmly and try to relax! I know how exciting this is for you because it is for me too, albeit for different reasons. ;)
