Midnight With King Kong
I think I'm going for the premier tonight at midnight!
I just turned on Turner Classic Movies, since they wisely decided to show the classic original, King Kong (1933) at 8 to 10 PM EST.
"He says the girl there is the bride of Kong."
"Blondes ARE scarce around here."
"Six of his women for Ann."
I had forgotten the delicious racial understones of this film. But not the hokey dialogue.
"Say, I think I love you."
Ah well. The real star of the show, Kong, is silent, but speaks a million words when he looks at Fay Wray cupped in his hand. So gentle, it hurts.

Commitment issues? (just kiiiiiidding)
I KNOW I'm going, I bought my ticket in advanced and even have an assigned seat.
Looking forward to a review (cause this film needs all the pub it can get). Or better yet, a report of the scene surrounding the geekfest (I'll have to remember to do some of that myself)

I SHOULD HAVE DONE THAT, oops caps lock.
Alas, my post was prematurely e-jocular -- I ended up not going YET.
I may Thursday, around 4-8. We'll see. :)

That's what I'm talkin' 'bout, Willis!
I want to take pics of the goings on, not so much write a proper review.
Anyway, James Bernadelli already did one, stupid thing.
No spoilers!
Cheers,
Victoria

Don't encourage Hollywood, love.
You know they're just spoiling to remake Godzooks, as my father calls it.
Cheers,

Your wish is my command, Pooh!
Of course, it helps that I haven't seen it yet. ;)
I am going tomorrow...I hope.

You know what? I love the way they used to speak, brother.
I think it's mighty swell, you're darn tooten.
In fact, because of my early exposure to "classic" American films, I sometimes come out sounding very Mickey Rooney.
"Say kids! Let's put on a show!"

'Twas beauty that killed the beast.

Have you decided if you're going today? I may look forward to reading your review almost as much as I look forward to seeing the movie itself.
Oh, and on a different topic, I apologize for this but, as I haven't "met" many other bloggers yet, I have to "tag" you. Very sorry. But still really looking forward to your review.
