But the difference between the reverential McCains and the offhand throwing of the roses by Senator Obama (and Mayor Bloomberg), speak volumes.

Y'know, Vicks, it may have been an off-hand kind of toss by Obama, but I think it was just him trying to get his flowers up on that big pile without leaning over clumsily.
You know how little I regard the man. But I think he was just doing something fairly innocent.

In another video of that scene, the most noteworthy aspect was Obama's failure to shake hands with any of the people there to greet them. (Bloomberg and McCain did.) Rather remarkable behavior for a politician and indicative of his discomfort about place and time, I think.
