To All Those In Gustav's Path

And God bless. Floridians are with you, in spirit.

  • And we're not there in spirit, the Federal Government is totally with you this time (with all the money they get from other states because Louisiana is a piker!) because last time, it was, like, so embarrassing when we had other stuff going on and you were all raping each other in an indoor football field or something. Tacky and just Ewww, and you left all that trash! Why do you litter?

  • Well, at least Gustav does not try to add insult to injury, unlike Rita.

  • I dunno what Gustav was rated as when he hit, but I hope it was less than expected.

    Hang in there!

  • I'm just curious, a couple weeks ago Fay nailed FL kinda stopped and dropped an enormous ammmount of rain there and it almost no media coverage. Maybe a quick mention as it happened.

Gustav looks like it might hit America's toilet bowl, oops I meant New Orleans, and we get a 1 week run up, followed by continuous coverage during the event.

Seem the people in FL know how to deal with the weather and get on with their lives, much like the folks who got flooded im the mid-west this spring.

How come the "terrible predicament" of people who made the decision to build a city more or less on the coast and about 10 FEET below sea level, be such amazing news? And beyond that why should my taxes have to pay to bail them out both fiscally and litterlaly?

Personally I think they should have finished exporting them from the city after the last one and then dynamited the levees and been done with it.
