Deja-Vu All Over Again?
"Dewey Defeats Truman"

"Obama Defeats McCain"

Considering how an Irish bookie is already paying out to punters who had bet on Obama to win, I think there is a reasonable chance some newspaper or blog will post this as their headline, given the nearly omniscient certitude of a win...only to have egg on their face on November 5th.
Are there any writers' strikes in the offing?

My brother worked for that esteemed paper when fresh out of journalism school [the Trib] and they sold high-ball glasses in their gift shop with famous Chicago Tribune banner headlines. Can you believe 'Dewey Defeats Truman' was for sale as a tchotchke?
And, in a similar note, they recently endorsed Obama.
