I like...

....maple doors, pond ripples, the crackling of fresh baked baguettes, running fingers thru' my hair, John Thaw's eyes, sleeping nude, "hi dee hi hi hi hi hi, ho dee ho ho ho, scooblee scooblee scooblee doo doo", my late granny's handwriting, Mike Atherton's posture, smelling coffee beans, burning eucalyptus, "you've got mail", meeting a stranger's gaze, holding a stranger's gaze, painting arum lillies, running barefoot, Titian red, the word gorgeous, the spoon position, dripping wax on skin, the yielding quality of water, everlasting world amen, my mother's throwing back her head to laugh, beating the system, Kim Cattrall being a Scouser, and "happiness is the best revenge".

This post is inspired by the film, "Amélie".

  • Wonderful post Victoria!

Anybody can sleep in the nude so it's probably running his fingers through his hair!

  • Wonderful post Victoria!

    Thanks, Jose!

Anybody can sleep in the nude so it's probably running his fingers through his hair!

Ahh. Take's a man to have that insight, I supppose. :)

Also, I may have been somewhat influenced by the fact that since I originally posted this some 2 years ago (which I updated today), I have acquired a puppy dog.

And see, he sleeps with me...well, as you can imagine, I no longer sleep in the nude anymore. :)

    Cheers,
    Victoria

Oh, I love the last choice. I thought it would be too personal for you to have included it, so I'm happy I was wrong.

That was a good guess on Jose's part, but as I said, perhaps he has personal insight as a man!

You did really good, Victoria! Psychologist?

    No, just a woman. ;)

Although perhaps something of my psychiatrist mother did rub off on me...

    Cheers,
    Victoria

  • And you a quite an excellent, humorous character.
I'll be reading you daily, commenting rarely though, your posts are quite stratospheric and I intend to climb as high as I can to enjoy them but will be able to add little. They seem to give a lot to think about and I like that. Thank you.
