Momentous Decision

I cannot keep from the Sundries readership, many of whom have become quite dear and close to me, and who I consider to be friends, that I am about to make a momentous decision about my future, in the upcoming months.

I'm sure you know what it might be about, but I'll refrain from mentioning it here, since even printing it, gives me a funny feeling inside.

This is all very coy, unless you know certain details of my life, yet all I can ask you is for as many positive thoughts you throw in my general direction, these days.

Whatever the decision will be, will be done with logic.

But I confess at least this once, to wanting prayers and similar, to help me guide me to a good decision.

Thanks, everyone.

  • The circle of commenters will always be in your corner! ?!?

You do not even have to ask for our love and care; that comes with the Blogger package! ;-)

  • When I asked your hand in marriage, I didn't know you were going to broadcast it all over the blogosphere. Oh well, we'll move to Utah, being that I'm already married and all.

Anyways, serious now, if I think what I think it is, then I would tell you that if your heart tells you is the right course, close your eyes and jump in, even if it doesn't work, you'll have fun.

If it's not what I think it is, then I really have no clue what you are talking about and I feel so out of the loop. Ever since you started hanging out with the cool blog kids, you left us nerdy RSS kids behind. It's like I don't know you anymore. (lame attempt at being funny over)

I just wish you luck on any endeavour you might be planning. The cool kids and the nerdy kids will be here by your (virtual) side.

  • Have you decided to shed your amateur status, thereby losing your ability to compete in any future olympics, and go pro at Naked Twister?

  • Go with your heart and only do something that you really enjoy doing, life is too short to waste any time!!!

If you are considering any higher educational pursuits, enroll at UF!!!

    Go Gators, basketball champions!!!

The similar part, are you asking for someone to provide propitiations to the appropriate gods in your name?

    Are we talking sacrificing goats?

Or dancing naked in the light of the full moon with menstrual blood smeared on our faces?

Or consulting a Mambo and letting a the Divine Horsemen ride us for awhile.

(and no matter how strongly any of us hope your decisions are wise and lead to much success and happiness (which surely they will) I don't think anyone is willing to go this far, sorry, that's not a propitiation so much as just plain crazy)

  • Thinking good thoughts atcher!

Dunno what's up, but we hope it won't mean your disappearance from the world of blogging.

    Y'know?

    *Hugs!*

  • May I remind you of the Universal Advice to be given to peeps contemplating deeds? The UA is, of course, "Don't!".

Now, (half) seriously again, you say "Whatever the decision will be, will be done with logic." Remember the latest research that shows people cannot make optimal decisions about complex matters by thinking rationally? If the decision to be made is a relatively simple one, with a few variables, and not too serious consequences, like buying a camera, or choosing a vacation destination, then one may reason logically and be satisfied with the outcome. If it is a more comlicated issue, with more variables, or life-changing, the best approach is to make sure one knows all relevant facts, and then let one's intuition decide.

So... don't give it too much thought, and have fun ;)

  • Best of luck with whatever you choose.

If it's another university, please don't go to Lizardville! ;)

Sure! You're welcome to as many as you need.

  • Charlie Bravo, Ron, Jorge, Sippican, Jose, XWL, Benning, Elko, Robert, and Reader_Iam (to date!)...

I cannot thank you enough for your kind remarks, and encouragement after reading my cri de coeur post.

I really truly appreciate all your comments, since they represent more than just interest in what I have to say, on a daily basis.

They are a warm-hearted caring about my welfare, which I will not soon forget, believe me.

    Thanks again, my dear friends...

    Cheers,
    Victoria
