The funny thing is, when I posted this, I thought of Ruth Anne.
And in case anyone wonders, this "Padre de Familia" skit is in Spanish from Spain.
Stewie, as you know, has a so-called "British accent" (which doesn't exist, but hey) to make him appear insufferably arrogant, since that is the function of the British accent in American culture -- that of implied superiority as well as general assholiness.
(Heh, don't I know it)
I was wondering how they would do the Stewie voice in Spanish, and if they implied the same with the Spaniard accent, say, if it was the Mexican version (there are Mexican, and other Hispanic versions of the Simpsons, of course, in Spanish -- also very hilarious).
The Spaniard accent is not quite as precious in other Spanish-speaking countries as is the Received English one for Americans, but they consider it VERY funny.
Alas, the Spaniards have no way of showing that, being the motherland, so they just put an old guy's accent and voice on poor old Stewie. Ah well.
P.S.: Disfrasarse, argh! Typoes. Argh!
