Sundance Opens And Obama Is Front And Centre

The Sundance Film Festival kicked off January 15, fortuitously for the host town, suffering from the recession.

You know that the film makers invited would not let Barack Obama's election pass uncelebrated by them, and so it is. Like a benevolent, but anticipated Big Brother, he's everywhere in Park City, Utah.

  • I find this cultish behavior very frightening . . . 14 Time Magazine covers? Will Smith playing him in a movie? A letter to his girls in a women's magazine? ... Ugh! Beware, folks those who have read a little history should be concerned, methinks.

  • As you know, Ms. Calabaza, this cult of personality he engenders in his followers is frightening to me.

He doesn't seem to encourage this tendency, but neither does he put a stop to it either.

He still strikes me as needy, and needing validation from the Establishment, but at the same time hopelessly narcissicistic.

It's really unnerving to see this in real-time.

    Cheers,
    Victoria
