Curlers

I slept only a few hours, but I've been up since 7 AM EST to watch the Men's Curling, Bronze medal match between the USA and Great Britain.

And if you want to know who I am rooting for, the land of my birth or the land of my adoption, the answer is...

...I don't really care.

I just want to see some good curling.

  • Victoria, what a coincidence! I've been dying to see some curling action also!!! Yea, and later today I am going to play in my shuffleboard league!

Are you calling me a vieja chocha???

P.S.: Well, I am un poco viejita. Last time I went out to a club, was 3 years ago, and even then, I was home at a reasonable hour. *sigh*

    P.P.S.: USA! USA!

    Cheers,
    Victoria

  • I've followed the women all the way through and I took a liking to the Johnson's even though I had so much trouble telling who was who if they faced me. I think Cassie is the cuter of the two.
Then, when they left the scene, in the finals, I thought the Swedes would win but I had taking a liking to The Swiss player, Ott, with the auburn hair - is that your color? - anyway I was entranced by her intense stare during her delivery and yet her demeanor was sweet and shy.
The men? They had a male team?

Is she the little perky, red-headed one? If so, I like her too.

First off, Ott is BUFUGLY! With that unkempt look about her, yech.

And no, my hair is strawberry blonde. Hers is a rich deep dark auburn. If you can see her through her "just woke up" hairdo...

    - anyway I was entranced by her intense stare during her delivery and yet her demeanor was sweet and shy.

This is true. And that's nice that you noticed, Paul. :)

    Heh.

    Really, you missed nothing.

I liked the American team best, especially the captain (rrrrr, yowza!) but none of them can really be said to be matinee idols, either.

    The Male Swedes...scary

    Cheers,
    Victoria

  • First, you won't be back here but how how do you do all that you do? Rhetorical question, I've asked you before. I know, I know, organisation.
I doubt I will find another person I like so well again.

Is she the little perky, red-headed one? If so, I like her too

Uh, no, I think. Cassie and Jamie Johnson are two almost twins separated by 15 months however. They both looked dirty blond to me - but hey, maybe your TV set needs adjusted :)
I think there may have been a red-head there but I was fixated. Sorry.

First off, Ott is BUFUGLY! With that unkempt look about her, yech.

Oh! Oh! How can you say that?
Okay, it was the personality I saw which was attractive, as far as the looks, since you are not available, I imagined I could overlook this, if she could.

This is true. And that's nice that you noticed, Paul. :)

I noticed it about you immediately, on the Althouse blog. You stood out.

I liked the American team best, especially the captain (rrrrr, yowza!)

    phtttpth!!!
