Sex Pirates In The City With Da Vinci's Matrix Code

(Welcome Pete Terranova and Maternal Optimist readers!)

As I comtemplated a really good title for this comeback post, I thought to myself,

"Wow, blogging is hard work. Kudos to Ann Althouse, Glenn Reynolds, The Anchoress, Michelle Malkin and all them who can keep it up, year after year, with pithy blogpost-titles!"

How DO they do it?

Well, I think I know! They grab the Zeitgeist by the Albrights, and let loose all the cultural bullet points of the day.

So there you have it above.

Think I missed out on touching on anything really important, like say, RonPaulians buying up all the tinfoil hats?

Ah well. Next post perhaps.

As an aside, I love all of you who were and sometimes are, my daily readers -- not to mention those who I consider my friends. I just have a funny way of showing it, you know?

January 13, 2008 also marks the 3rd anniversary of Sundries' fit-and-start life. I'm a proud mama.

Welcome back, Victoria! Goodness me, how you've been missed. Glad as can be you're back. I hope everything is just peachy keen with you and yours. Can't wait to hear the details.

Big warm blog hug to you!!!

Have a cuppa, sit, take your shoes off, and lay on...

Do try not to get into a 7-month-cycle with those posts of yours. ;)

Pete! Thank you for the kind comment and link. :)

I can tell by the tone of the commentaries below and yours, that the chorus of disapproval one would usually expect of disappointed readers not to mention friends, is really a symphony of love.

As I commented on your post, I won't lie and say I'll post every day.

Let's start with once a week, and build up maybe.

Thanks again, Petey. You made my comeback sweeter. :)

    Cheers,
    Victoria

Oh Ron! How I've missed you...I've been lurking on Die Althouse's blog for a while, and there you were.

And Reader Iam! And Internet Ronin!

Didn't see Ruth Anne all that much though. Hope she is well.

I wanted to get back into the swing of things, and as we have that Althouse Connexion, Ron, that was my nexus.

(The trolls are still there, but that's to be expected. When you are a successful person, and an interesting one as Ann is, people target you. I heard that Michelle is back to open comments now. Wow, have to check that out again. Seems amazing to me given the racism against her)

Anyway, here I am muntering on about other bloggers.

    HOW ARE YOU, Ronboy! :)

Big warm cuppa joe hugs to you too, darling!

I haven't forgotten the Nietzsche DVD, nor the care package full of Cuban goodies.

My Dell HD is kaputznik, and I am to pick it up any day now from the Geek Squad (ridiculous price, and uncaring teens -- stay away!).

Then perhaps, slowly mind, we'll reconnect.

I do miss our cinema chats. :)

    Ron, hugs!

MALTE!! I can't believe it. Thank you for giving Sundries even an ounce of your time, given my utter lack of response. :(

I also miss you and those other guys a lot: but I think I've moved on from the other place. It was getting a little dismal, anyway, you know? I also haven't watched a match in a year -- unglaublich. *g*

I wish I could let everyone know exactly what happened, but speaking of dismal, it's full of family probs, health woes, and just plain fatigue.

Things are getting better, GOD WILLING, and so I am back.

But Malte, how are you? Your girl? Do you still live in that old castle? :)

My Inbox was so full, and the Spam filter overflowing, I mostly deleted everything, so please forgive me if you (and others) wrote to me.

May I just tell you Malte, Happy New Year! Belatedly, but very very warmly. :)

    And to all here too!

And Malte, my love to another mutual friend, who actually left me a message. Since it was "ID unknown" I didn't pick up the message until much later in the week! I'm bad...

    Mwah! Kussi. ;)

  • Welcome back, Victoria (and thanks to Ruth Anne for bringing this to my attention)!

I hope you stick around for a while!

  • Oh, my freakin' gawd. I had almost lost heart.

You could never lose heart, my JAG heroine! :)

Thanks so much, Ruth Anne. I've just commented over at your blog, but to let you know, I will be more active as the election approaches.

My sis, the cinephile, will be glad. And just in time for the Golden Globs and Oscars!

LOL! So true. The Globes were a SLIGHT impetus for return.

Honestly, I got tired of waiting for Fidel to die to make THE BIG COMEBACK with pics, etc.

Not only is that a weird thing to admit to (morbid, though I cannot stand him and death is too good for that creep), but also rather infantile.

And hey, Marlene Dietrich didn't stop making films waiting for Hitler to die, right?

Ahh, it's good to be back, Ruth Anne. ;)

    Cheers,
    Victoria

RIA! I was lurking over at Althouse this week, and every time I saw your name in the comments, I wanted to hug you hello.

I am so happy you were appraised of my return by Ruth Anne.

I hope you can forgive the length of my absence, and perhaps give me a little leeway in the return.

I will not leave Blogosphere, just because my house isn't in order. I hope to sort things out by this year. ;)

Good to talk to you again, Reader_Iam! :)

    Cheers,
    Victoria

  • Welcome back, Vicky! It's good to see that you are still around. It cheers one up amidst the slings and arrows of outrageous fortune, where one tries to deal with them as well as they can.

    Victoria's Alive!111!!???

    /Brian Blessed voice off

I thought Google Reader was having a laugh TBH but it appears to be telling the truth.

How the devil are you? How was it under the patio with JdS? Is your email working?

I miss Youksefers and Arressessers too. C___s. ;)

Your name has been taken in vain a few times recently.

  • Yes...I'm one of the Maternal Optimist's fans...(I have to be...she's my sister...)...

But, I have missed you my movie friend!!

My good friend, Anne, and I did a whole slew of movies between Christmas and New Year's!! Like 7 or 8 in that many days!!

    How are you doing???

I am doing well...and the dogs had a GREAT 2007!

Blogging is a job almost unto it's own...or else an obsessive compulsive disorder for us adults...*grin*

    Enjoy 2008, Victoria!!

I'm not exaggerating or kissing up to you when I say that you have been sorely missed.

  • Finally!!!!

All is right with the world. Welcome back, Victoria.

I know two-week vacations seem a little bit work compulsive for those from the other side of the pond, but 7 months!!! Well at least you kept us from whispering by avoiding that nine-month mark. . .

By Anonymous Darrell, at Sat Jan 19, 12:59:00 am GMT-5

  • I'd given up checking here, just asked asked Ruth Anne if she had any news of you, and figured, what the hay, click and see who's checked in and here you are! Well, I'll be....

Anyway, nice to see you are ok. I'll put you back on my blogroll this weekend.

Should we be expecting a come-back?

    Hope you've done well.

  • Welcome back, I'd almost lost hope. I did loose my laptop for awhile or I might have caught the return sooner.

    You were missed.

By Blogger conv442, at Tue Jan 29, 05:52:00 pm GMT-5

  • Glad you're back.

After I saw you returned to Althouse last night I had to check over here. And I even demonstrated the secret of pithiness, as a good double entendre (or at least a cheap pun) over there but I think it was after you left.

Hope your dream was good, though I strongly suspect it will remain a dream. For one thing, a Vice President can't bring extra baggate to a ticket (remember Thomas Eagleton-- well actually, you don't) and Rudy has a lot of baggage, including some that hasn't even come out yet.

Welcome back Miss V. I missed the smiles your words always brought.

Best wishes for this new year for you and youur loved ones!

  • Well..welcome back. It has been what? 3 , 4 years? Italy won the World cup in 2006 :-(
England will miss the Euro next summer, what else is new. Not much. And Spurs still suck big time ( love Berbatov though).
    Welcome back. Dusty in here?
