Starry
Visiting my mother's friend on Star Island (where Shaq lived and where Rosie O'Donnell currently lives, as well as where Real World Miami was shot)...

...I caught one of the most earthy, wintery sunsets I've seen, in a city famous for its elegance in saying goodnight to days.

IN THE COMMENTS: Chickenlittle bonds with me.

You captured a quantum of solstice.

Jeez. Just as I was going to ask you to remove the link to my blog and cut all communications, you had to post a normal - no, a beautiful - entry again. Are you back to your non-political charming self?

No! To paraphrase Al Pacino in Carlito's Way:
"Politics. She's always watching."
;)

I've had my fill of politics for awhile...good to see posts about life, instead!

Hehe. I was just teasing my pal, Elko, Ron.
My point being is that I am who I am -- my values shapes my politics, which means they are always lurking around even my non-political posts. :)
Incidentally, I loathe politics, as my Profile states. I really do. It makes enemies out of people who would normally like each other.
Politics is one of life's great corrosives. Like religion.

Victoria

That photo is sooooo unfair. Here in lovely Wisconsin I've finished a week of vigorous show removal form driveway and sidewalk, only to hear a forecast calling for another 13" snowfall over the next 36 hours.
I may not be able to see out the windows by the end of the year!

If it's any consolation, today was rather brisk and windy. Almost 70F! Mwahahaha. I'm so cruel.

Seriously, though, Michael. Take care of yourself. I know you told me all that stuff about the gorgeous, big chimney, a crackling fire and Netflicking the entire Apu Trilogy to keep you company on snow days, but winter is harsh up there. Stay safe.
I may not be able to see out the windows by the end of the year!
Aww. *hugs*
We'll get through this together, just like in olden times. Who's for Parcheesi?
Cheers,
Victoria

Parcheesi? No thanks. Eighteen year old single malt is a better diversion.
