Flying Adverts
The keener-eyed amongst you, like commenter Alcibiades, might have noticed that streak of white in the Getting Along blogpost above.
And I'm sure you've guessed what that means: A biplane hired for advertising purposes, has just streaked by.
I'm not exactly sure who Marisol Nichols is, or what is Gen Art, but I've NEVER seen a weekend in SoBe without one or two planes flying past, constantly overhead.

First!
When I lived in South Florida, I remember seeing these every time we went to the beach. They're rare here in Oklahoma but every once in a while I'll catch one and get a nice sense of nostalgia.
Glad to to see they're still around down your way.

One of the wryest moments of my life was being at the beach in Cape Cod and having a bi-plane tow a banner along the beach advertising a band at a nightclub.
My companion: Isn't that you?
Me: Yeah, I'm me.

This afternoon, above the Largo Wal-Mart, flew a banner plane. "Taylor, will you marry me? I love you! Shane," read the banner. We all figured it was meant for someone at the Largo High School which is on the other side of the street.
Someone's daddy has money!

You know what "died" though?
The Goodyear Blimp, which used to have a heliport pad opposite the Port of Miami.
I miss that...since I never got to go on!
Cheers,
V

Or...someone has been working double-shifts at the Mickey D's. ;)
(Hey, I once knew this guy who worked, he said, in the Discount Auto Parts store just to pay for his car stereo system and rims. He poured over 20,000 on that car)
Cheers,
Victoria
