Hey Batter Batter Batter!

Baseball season starts today, and I don't know about you, but my money's on the Cardinals again, this year!

Anything for a cheap visual joke, my friends.

P.S.: Go Marlins!!

  • you need something to blow white smoke out the top, maybe triggered on scoring...

I still can't believe the Tigers even made it in the series last year...it was an odd playoffs.

LOL...well, as a few people emailed me with this tip, there IS a Vatican sports team these days.

    More about that, later. ;)

    Dude, 2 words:

    Jim Leyland

You think we in Florida forgot the guy who brought a World Series to Miami for the first time??

    P.S.: I don't like the Tigers. *gg*

    Cheers,

  • P.S.: I don't like the Tigers. *gg* We should have a friendly wager, come Series time again!

I just haven't bonded with these Tigers, because they've broken with the usual Detroit pattern of getting to know a team over a few years, some buildup, and then one series and done! These guys came out of space!

I've a request to write a player biography for one of the '68 Tigers for a book celebrating their 40th anniversary next year!

Totally OT, Vanity Fair had a piece on Brits in NYC, and said the best way to annoy them is to ask them what part of Australia they're from.... Thoughts?

Woo! But you know what? Not really thought, because you also got our ex-Marlin cap'n, the wonderful Punch Rodriguez.

Punch was the key to our SECOND World Series. He's clubhouse gold.

Wow! I hope you said yes, Ron!

Good Lord, no, not with me. Never heard that with others either -- at least not here.

In fact, I would say it's the other way around.

As you know, the Australian "accent" is an amalgam of Cockney and Irish, and I've heard Aussies bristle when Americans ask them if they were East Londoners...

    Cheers,

  • You mean "Pudge" Roidriguez?

By Blogger JSU, at Mon Apr 02, 01:43:00 am GMT-4

  • PUDGE...*smacks forehead*

    What a dope.

P.S.: You leave him alone! So what if he roids up -- I tell you, it's his clubhouse attitude that is GOLD! ;)

    Cheers,
    Victoria
