Where

A little bit more difficult, since I could be asking that question for many reasons.

THE ANSWER IS: It's a container from Pakistan for snake transport!!

Pakistan and India both, obviously, have long been the two countries where snake charmers have made a long, dazzling tourist trade. I won't reveal WHERE exactly this is, which is rather a bit of a cheat I know, but if I do, I will spoil a future travellogue surprise. Stay tuned!

  • Ronin, why aren'tcha answering? It's clear this comes from Sialkot in Pakistan, but what more where could there be? I would have labeled it "what", since the contents of the crate is what's mysterious.

Because I took a while in finding just the right "Where" pic to post.

I had chosen another one, but decided this was more mysterious...and it is!

Success. Keep at it, my young stud. ;)

    See you later!

  • BTW, I didn't know what Sialkot was...sad but true.

And me so cosmopolitan and allegedly well-educated, too.

    Cheers,

:( Wish I was. Not elderly yet, but not young either. Young at heart, though ;)

  • I'm guessing it's inside a Miami Art Museum. From the looks of the bottom I'd guess - why the heck not? - that's it's a packing case fashioned into a bench.

  • I would say it is a piece of art, probably a statue or vase or something "useful" rather than just "decorative" and it comes from Pakistan (but that part is obvious). It's either going to the museum or is going to be placed in a restaurant or onboard a ship. Or maybe it is just off the crater ship and is going to decorate someone's home or office.

  • Safe to say its in Miami, maybe some kind of furniture/home store?

  • How did you make a blog post from the future?

Am I going insane or is today Tuesday March 13th and the blog post appears to be from Wednesday March 14th?

  • Adam, when you're writing your post, there's a link at the lower left of the box. Click on it and you wil find posting options such as date, time, and so on. That let's you post from the future!

  • No, I'm not answering because I still haven't got a clue. (Some would say that that has never stopped me before!)

My wild guess is that your parents have gone on a shopping spree and this is in their house. :-)

Benning has a good eye, I think.

  • P.S. Caroline - I'll wander back to my blog some day soon and respond to your post. Being lazy at the moment, but I applaud your son's sense of good taste. (Who knew how popular that unusual bit of beefcake would prove to be!)

By Blogger Internet Ronin, at Thu Mar 15, 01:58:00 am GMT-4

  • Benning and Caroline came closest in guessing.

It's from a KIND of museum, so close enough! :)

P.S.: Adam, I have conquered the space-time continuum.

    Cheers,
    Victoria
