Let me give you some background about the photograph -- though the Miami Sundries readers probably know it already.
This billboard is located on the main artery of Miami -- South Dixie Highway (AKA US-1). It's been a staple of that particular location since, oh I don't know, at least 3 years.
They change Pepito's clothing according to season, or occasion, like Miami's own version of Mannequin Pis.
The best one, and I kick myself for not stopping and taking a photo for you, was during the Presidential Election.
It showed Pepito (who looks like either a poodle or a bichon frisé -- Peggy, we need your fine canine expert eye here!) wearing an Abe Lincoln like stovetop hat, in brilliant red, white, blue colours. It read:
"Pepito for President"
I swear I NEVER failed to laugh every time I passed that. I could be having the lousiest day, and I still laughed.
